Champion Community Investments Strategic Goals

The seven strategic goals of Champion Community Investments remain as they were in 2001 and still serve as the foundations for the efforts of the organization and it’s Board of Directors. They are as follows:

1. INFRASTRUCTURE — including potable water, sanitary and storm sewer, roads and highways, and telecommunications systems.
   VISION — “It is essential that all citizens in this region are served by modern, well-managed, sanitary, and efficient infrastructure systems that can provide for immediate needs as well as capacity for future commercial and residential growth.”

2. EDUCATION – including P-12 and post-secondary education.
   VISION — “All residents of the Champion Community, young and old alike, must be allowed the opportunity to expand their knowledge, broaden their minds, and share that intellectual wealth with others through greater educational opportunities.”

3. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT — including access to capital and site improvement
   VISION — “The unemployment of the past must not be allowed to continue and must be replaced by prosperity, meaningful employment, and an economy of expansion and inclusion of all who seek the benefits of work.”

4. HEALTH CARE
   VISION — “Every citizen in this region is entitled to a healthy life, access to quality health care, and the assurance of swift, professional emergency care.”

5. FAMILY AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
   VISION — “Family life is the cornerstone of the human experience in the Champion Community. As such, it is imperative that there be greater opportunity for healthy recreation and an expansion of places where families can go to enjoy their lives together.”

6. HOUSING 
   VISION — “The people living in the Champion Community must have access to comfortable, affordable, safe housing in which to prosper and raise their families, and to know the satisfaction of effectively maintaining their homes and property.”

7. PUBLIC SAFETY — including fire, police, ambulance, ESDA, and telecommunications
   VISION — “Our citizens, visitors, and businesses must know that their lives and property are as safe and inviolate as possible, and that all public protective services are as fully equipped, capably staffed by well-trained personnel as possible, all linked together with reliable, ready access to contemporary telecommunications.”
